It was so great to see so many of you tonight! As we mentioned, coming together in that setting is so important to setting our foundation for the rest of kindergarten. We will continue to work as a team between the three classes and as a team with families. If you were not able to make it this evening, not to worry! I have the folders prepared for you and they will come home tomorrow in your child's backpack. If there are any documents that you would like more information on, please send me an email or drop by before or after school!
Later this week I will be introducing the "Kindergarten Passport" of skills that students work to master during this first part of Kindergarten. Examples include opening wrappers independently, shoe tying, cleaning their desk space, and using scissors. Students will earn special stickers and once their passport is full, they earn a "trip" to a special lunch with Ms. Morse and a friend, where we will have a food from around the world. The process of filling the passport is not designed to be quick, but instead a great chance to work over time towards a goal. I will post all 12 skills here once it is introduced to the students!
Thank you again for your support and teamwork!
